In 'Escape to Freedom' I was inspired by Alton Towers, flying fast through the air on a swing
with my daughter while being inspired by Derbyshire's vast amount of trees.
This piece is about being different. It is a breakthrough because I am no longer giving in
to my shyness. Here I am not changing my identity but finding it to break down any barriers
and discovering myself within. When I play with my daughter it helps me to be myself.
This is the basis I should go by in life in general. I can then have the confidence to
discover my hidden talents.
My Christian faith has given me more strength to fight my shyness. Also the romanticism of
nature makes me feel closer to God because it is his creation.
