ARTSPACE AND THE ART OF GARDENING
The Charnwood based group
ArtSpace will be holding their second Contemporary Art Fair in the Church Rooms
over the weekend of 21st and 22nd June. Held in conjunction with the Quorn Open
Gardens event, several artists will be exhibiting an array of original
paintings, prints, photographs, drawings, cards and some limited edition
prints.
With a group aim of
encouraging art in the community, several village artists will also be
exhibiting. The event will provide an excellent opportunity to browse and
discuss the work on show in an informal, friendly, relaxed atmosphere. With
hundreds of pieces to be browsed, you can guarantee there will be something to
suit all tastes.
Artist Erica Middleton will
also be taking part in the event with her open garden but there will be the
added attraction of an open studio displaying paintings and drawings for your
perusal and for sale. Local sculptor Nita Rao will also be creating a sculpture
garden in Erica’s waterside garden. Amongst the work being shown will be her
bronze, clay and willow sculptures, all which would make a perfect addition to
any stylish garden.
The exhibition in the Quorn
Church Rooms will be open from 2pm to 6pm, Saturday and Sunday. Refreshments
will also be available.
