Order out of Chaos I

Reduced to a silhouette and photographed in winter when there are no leaves to confuse or complicate the composition, the semi-random and chaotic pattern of trunks and braches become the subject of the photograph.

Repeating and reflecting the image vertically and then again horizontally (2 x 2) creates a stunning degree of visual order out of the relative chaos, a kind of mandala.

These two photographs ‘order out of chaos I & II’ were two near identical scenes of the same trees, with slightly differing view points, yet they create a very different order … a very different mandala.
